OK, so I'm starting over. I haven't used my journal in ages so I'm restarting now. My first year of college will be starting this year and I'm going to be using it a lot more so I can keep in touch with my friends.
For those who don't know (...there's probably a lot of those), I'm off to--my dream college--the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities to major in something with languages and minor in graphic arts. Hopefully major in either ESL, translation, or teaching at no lower than a university level and I'm not going for anything lower than a Ph.D.
So anyways, I just got back from orientaion and registration today (4 days long. Sheesh!!). Oh. My. Gosh. The campus is AMAZING!! I've seen it before but I finally registered it in my mind. It's BEAUTIFUL!!! Absolutely gorgeous!! It's so homely and comfy, and it has real buildings from the civil war (fortresses, armery buildings, ect.) still there and in use. And all the buildings look like old revolutionary buildings. Then there's the underground walkway (also known as Gopher Way) and the (really long, 3/4 a mile+) heated skywalk that connects the West Bank and East Bank campuses on Minneapolis to the St. Paul campus. The place is SO much nicer than UW Madison! And both my parents agree--which is definately saying something!! And I also learned that UMN is the biggest college and has the biggest campus in the midwest. It has it's own town (Dinkytown) inside of it!!! DAMN is it nice!! I'm going to f*ing LOVE it there!!!
Oh, did I mention it's only 20 minutes from Mall of America, has free shuttles, MILLIONS of resturaunts, an IKEA next to it, and the same tram that Chicago has, along with about a million other things! And my friends are going to all come stay the night when we all go to Anime Detour in March and that other con (whenever it is) that--by the way--are like, 5 minutes away!! HUZZAH!!! The food was unbelievably awesome, too!!

Good thing is that I don't have any classes after 3:35. Period. And only 3 classes. You can't beat that. ;P Though they are everyday... I don't have to take any math if I get a 3 or higher on the AP Calc test. If I get a 3 or higher on the AP English one I don't have to take that Spring English class (I get to drop it) and get a bunch of credit. I'm taking the Japanese ALL tests on the... 4th? of September to figure out where I'm supposed to be. I'm just signed up for a general one til then. The Japanese in Spring isn't available to sign up for yet, though. I might drop the Bio one because I don't really want it but it was the only one that fit around my lang. classes. I might switch to some Social Science class instead. But my advisor told me to get a science done first. *shrugs* I'll probably switch.
Anyways, well, I'm done I think. I'm so fricken excited. I just can't wait! Don't figure out what dorm I'm in or who my roomate is until July 30th, though...

God, I'm so pissed off. My mom just showed me my senior pictures and they look AWFUL!!! So fucking AWFUL!!! Everyone else got these wonderful senior pictures that they were all so proud of and I get this shit. I don't want them!!! I do not want to have to look at these fucking hideous pictures for the rest of my life!!! I don't even look that bad when I roll out of bed in the morning!
And my mom doesn't get it. She thinks I'm mad cuz "everyone hate's their picture." Ah, no. I haven't met one person so far that didn't like their pictures. I'm sorry that you had to be a cheap ass and spent $300 on Brian and Mark and only $50 on me. You didn't let me pic out my own clothes, I wasn't allowed to have anything in the pictures with me, I couldn't go where I wanted for the pictures, my hair looks like crap, I have 3 chins (I'm not making this up people. This is no exaggeration in the picture), and my stomach's hanging out. Yeah, that's what I want my pictures to look like.
I don't hate getting my picture taken. In fact, I don't mind it at all. And I know I don't always look bad in pictures, but I do here! And I do not want to live with those pictures my entire life!!! I'm so mad!!!! She fucked up my ACTs, she fucked up my colleges, and now she's fucked up my senior pictures!!! Stop fucking up everything!! I want some god damn nice senior pictures!! I'm not giving these away to anyone!!! I REFUSE to give them to any of my friends. Get me a fucking retake! I don't care if you already spent money on them, I'm not happy with them!! What don't you get??? It's not that I don't like pictures of me in general, these look like CRAP!!!!
GET IT THROUGH YOUR FUCKING HEAD!!! I NEVER WANT TO SEE THOSE FUCKING PICTURES EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!! Why are mine the only ones that look so fucking bad??? Yeah, let's be so damn cheap that we take them in my own back yard.

Yes, I finally got to hear Joe sing; and he was very good! ^_^ Too bad I couldn't go to the fair with them. I really wanted to go. And I didn't ge to silly string Andrew and Rachel either. T_T
No, I got stuck here while my sister has her really annoying friends over. I'm sorry, but what the hell is so damn amusing about putting make-up on one of your guy friends and paintin his nails every color we have in the house, breaking half of MY nail polish bottles. Oh, so original. It's not that funny. I don't see why they didn't just go home. 10 they're sitting at the table doing nothing, NOTHING! Not even talking. I walk into the kitchen and they all stare at me cuz they have nothing to do. So I do what I do to lil kids. You know, the ones that stare at you thinking that you don't see them staring at you. I stare right back at them. "*stare* *continue staring* You wanna keep staring? Maybe I'll spit out one of these grapes and chuck it at you." *sigh* They are so retarded.
Oh well. At least I get to see Spiderman 2 (finally) with Rachel (and hopefully Isha, Joe, or Andrew will come with ^o^) on Sunday to make up for it. And HOPEFULLY, Ginel can go tomorrow and I don't get called into work.
Not that too many people care, but I am so damn obcessed with Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne and Full Moon wo Sagashite I could have a seizure any moment now. I really, really wanna start working on a Meroko cosplay. I'm contemplating over what fabric to use. I want to say that regular red fabric will work, but I already have the perfect usable skirt but it's made of that shiny stuff. :/ Not sure what to do. But I am now obcessed with Takuto---
I have decided to make a Takuto plushie (as soon as I can find a decent pattern) and I'm going to make his hat. ^O^ I'm so excited!! It's such a neat hat and shouldn't be too hard to make. Plus, I can wear it anywhere and it won't seem too weird! ^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^ I'm SO EXCITED!!! I'll make it fuzzy with the cat ears and the belt thing around it and the weird ribbon-thingies hanging from the sides. It'll be my 6th cat hat! ^-^ ;P
Yes! My download will be down by 1 AM! Less than an hour to go for the rest of DN Angel (I had an ep. missing-I was wondering what was going on when it suddenly skipped...)! It WOULD HAVE been done along with the last 5 eps. of FMwS, but my fucking dad screwed everything up. Ah, well. Guess I'll just read the rest of my Ah! Megumi-sama (Ah! My Goddess) for the time being. Old School, but great. :D |

I am SO relieved to get that damned AP English assignment and art trade done (but I did enjoy the trade)! I've been busy as all hell for the last 2 weeks. I had that damn essay and business letter to write, the pic to finish, I've been out of town constantly, and-all of a sudden-Bruce decided to have me work almost everyday this and last week! I go from working one day a week to working 6! There's a big transition there fella! And on the week everything's due! At least I'm getting back the results of my interview at the Hales Corner's library. If I get this job I can finally get a nice office job with my own room and comfy clothes with nice pay. ^-^
Me and Andrew had some great fun tonight! We went over to Alladin's Castle to play some games and DDR Extreme but it was taken. 5 minutes later we turn around and Kate and her friend's are on it. So we had to leave as we wouldn't get on the DDR machine for a few hours. >_<;; BUT we did stop by the GameStop across the street and I picked up a new dance pad and Andrew got a dance pad and DDRMax1 with my discount.
Well, anyways, I'm having so much fun with this new Acen_otaku community I've joined! They've helped me find some really great scanlation sites. ^_^
I'm going to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities tomorrow, so I won't be back until Sunday. Hopefully the tour won't be too bad, but it's waking up at 3 AM that's gonna get me. I don't even go to sleep til 5 AM. But we're going to stay overnight and go to Mall of America (I bet you I could map out that place, I know it so well) while we're there and then we're going to stop at the Dells on the way back Sunday.

Gah!!! I can't get a fricken A on that stupid DDR song!!! I've been trying for over 2 hours!!! I had to go back to training mode and go from the slowest I can make it to the speed on game mode and I beat that but I still can't get anything higher than 38000000 points and I need 41000000 to get an A!! And unless I get an A on everything I can't get my damn bonus songs and the fricken extra modes!! Raaarrrhghghhgh!!! And then I gotta go beat Paranoia and the really hard ones!! Arrr!!! I just need a fricken A on light mode and I can move on!! I've already beaten half the other songs on standard and some on heavy-why can't I beat 22DUNK on light???? |

Aaaaaaaand here's my Link picture for Emily's birthday back in October!!! XD I think it turned out pretty damn nice. *is proud of herself* Hope she likes it. I spent 8 hours coloring it today. >_<;; Now my eye's hurt. :P I think the background actually looks pretty nice this time. ^_^

I'm back from vacation. Was fun, but do not feel like talking about it right now. Maybe in some other post.
Photoshop can be a real bitch, you know that? I had to post one of my pictures on my deviantart account without a background because Photoshop decided to get all fucked up on me at the last minute. And about 1/2 an hour ago I decided to get back to work on Emily's Link picture that I've been procrasting on, and Photohop is still being a bitch. I cannot do a single thing on any layer except erase. Even if I add a layer. The brushes don't work, the fill doesn't work, the airbrush doesn't work...
But I just figured out how to fix it. Some stupid thing on the right that I didn't even know was ever there called 'Brush Dynamics.' Screwed everything up, that did.
Anyways... what a worthless post. :P But I got 3 more people to put me on their watch list today on Deviantart and one person even put me on there little siggy thing to go see. ^_^ So happy! |

Here's the final result. There's a lot of bad in it, but I like how I colored the shirt and skin. The bridge is crooked (which I even realized it was when I was doing it. I didn't bother to stop and do it right >_<;;), and it was my first time doing a background, so it turned out pretty crappy. XD Could be worse, I guess. I don't have have any idea how to make backgrounds with Photoshop, I only know how to do it with Painter-which I don't have at the moment. ~_~;; And the leaves look like crap. >_<;;
Anyways, I'm gonna put it up in my Deviant account tomorrow. Here it is, anyways (hope it works):

I'm so excited! I found a site on an Ayu site that I frequently visit that has almost every single video and live appearence ever made! It's so awesome! ^_^ I've been watching them for hours now!
In other news, there's a stupid war going on the Jpop forums about who is better: Ayu or Hikki. It's getting nasty. It seems that Hikki is kicking Ayu's ass and I don't like it. Personally, I like Ayu the best. Hikki makes less albums and all in all, I don't like as many of her songs. Don't get me wrong, I love Hikki! I have almost all of her albums! But there are only about 2-3 songs on each of them that I like; whereas with Ayu, I like almost all of them. And I think Ayu's a lot more down to earth while Hikki is really conceited.
With that said, I'm going to go look at an old Boys and Girls video. ^_^ |

I started my goal of posting a reply to everyone's posts that I have missed for the last... month, probably. Starting from when I my computer crashed and I had my allergic reaction and was out for 2 weeks. I got about 10 replies done in the school library today; I'll try to get some more done within the next few days. Friday I'm stuck in the library again during Chem class because they're doing that lab that I can't participate in again. So if anyone sees a whole bunch of replies on old posts or all of a sudden it starts up again, that's why. I'm getting there, but my friends list is piled up with the Potter Puppet Pal community. >_<;;
In other news, Acen is in 2 days and I'm ready. The anime convention tradition continues as I reach Acen. I am so damn excited for the convention months ahead of time that I cannot just wait to go, and then the 2 weeks before the convention I don't want to go anymore. It's like that anticipation is all gone. Now it's like... Ug, can't I do something else with my weekend? Couldn't I go to New York or something? I have a feeling that when all of us get to the hotel the first thing everyone's going to do is run out of the room and check out every last thing there while I just plop down on the bed and watch TV for about 5 hours. XD I'll bet anyone $20 that's what'll happen.
My costume is completely done except for the earings. Those should be easy to make. I fixed my costume up a bunch so it fits a lot better and isn't so damn big and floppy (used a LOT of velcro) and got some more ribbon and string. Did a lot of touch ups and it looks almost exactly like Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne! I'm so excited to wear it! But I'm going to need a lot of help putting it on. Weeeee!!! I'm so exciting about the costume! Before I did all the touch ups yesterday I thought it looked like crap, but it looks so good now! For the first time I've actually made the ENTIRE costume (except for the wig, but I have almost the perfect hair for it)! I spent hours making the gold bracelets with the jems on it, and the gold cross in the middle (a little too small, though). The small details make such a difference. Really, the only thing I'm upset with is that when we made an ajustment so the kimono part would stay closed, it's so far to the left that I can't open it right and there's too much skirt showing. :/ Oh, well.
If I finish my earings and my homework I'll see if I can get going on that giant Kikoman soy sauce so I can chase Jake around with it at the convention. ^o^
BTW-I'll send out seperate invos later- my b-day's coming up this Sunday and I'm having a b-day party the 29th. I know it's really soon, but you're all invited! Even those of you I know probably couldn't show up (ie. Sage, Dom, ect.), you're still invited anyways. ^_^ ;P Ginel and Joe, I'll e-mail or something you're invos to you before I leave for Acen. :D
